Tadic and Dzeko Reflect on Derby Loss: “These Mistakes Shouldn’t Happen”
Fenerbahçe captains Dusan Tadic and Edin Dzeko made statements after the 3-1 loss to Galatasaray. Tadic said, "We conceded simple goals."
Fenerbahçe’s captains Dusan Tadic and Edin Dzeko spoke following the defeat to Galatasaray.
Tadic said the following:
“To be honest, we knew what we needed to do and what we shouldn’t do before the match. In the first 25 minutes, we created chances, and if we had capitalized on them, it could have been different. The goals we conceded weren’t nice. We need to know how to defend and attack together. These kinds of things shouldn’t happen in a derby. The goals we conceded were very simple.”
Edin Dzeko also made the following remarks:
“I think we started the match well. We created some opportunities, but unfortunately, we couldn’t finish them. Actually, we conceded a similar goal against Lugano; there was nothing in it. After that, things became a bit more difficult, but we made every effort we could, yet we couldn’t capitalize on it. A team like ours shouldn’t have conceded the second goal. It was a very simple goal. We need to stay calm and evaluate our mistakes.”
