Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç to Hold Key Press Conference on January 8
Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç will hold a press conference on Wednesday to address the club's position on participating in the Turkish Cup, the transfer plans for the mid-season, and recent incidents at the stadium.
It was announced that Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç will provide clarity on their decision regarding participation in the Ziraat Turkish Cup, as well as discuss transfer plans and recent events at Ülker Stadium, during a press conference scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
In a statement released on the club’s official website, it was highlighted that problems persist in Turkish football, stating:
“We have witnessed significant structural changes in the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), including the renewal of its president and administration, the restructuring of the Central Referee Committee, and the replacement of many referees officiating in the Süper Lig. Despite these changes, chronic problems persist, clearly indicating that fairness on the field has not been achieved.”
The statement emphasized that the club will closely monitor the steps taken by the TFF to address these chronic issues, adding:
“Developments in Turkish football since April 2, 2024, our position regarding participation in the Turkish Cup, our football team’s transfer plans for the mid-season, and recent events at our stadium will all be addressed by our president Ali Koç on January 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM.”
